With motion detection, applications for event-triggered transmission, and remote
storage of images, the AXIS 2420 is the professional network camera for a
future-proof security surveillance system. With a built-in web server, the AXIS
2420 Network Camera is assigned its own IP address and connects directly to
local networks or the Internet. Transmitting high-quality live video at up to 30
frames per second through a standard web browser, the AXIS 2420 is the perfect
camera for security applications. Including a standard video output, it also
plugs directly into analog surveillance systems that connect by using standard
coaxial cabling.
Available without lens or complete with DC-iris lens and pod.
The AXIS 2420 is the first surveillance camera to offer future-proof digital
security solutions, as well as backward compatibility with traditional analog
CCTV systems.
Using motion-JPEG image format, the camera guarantees high quality motion and
still images at all times, regardless of the bandwidth restrictions on the
network.
The AXIS 2420 connects directly to a local Ethernet network or the Internet and
is all that is needed to receive high quality streaming video through a standard
Web browser. To complement existing analog cameras, it can simultaneously plug
into an analog surveillance system via its video output connector.
